U Maung Thura, en burmesisk komiker, har i dagarna dömts till 45 års fängelse av en hemlig domstol i Burma. Hans brott består i att ha organiserat hjälp till offren för en cyklon som dödat mer än 130 000 burmeser och för att ha kritiserat Burmas militärjunta.
Så här sa han i en intervju från den 19 maj i år:
"These are my people, I want to save my own people. But the government doesn’t like our work. It is not interested in helping people. It just wants to tell the world and the rest of the country that everything is under control and that it has already saved its people.”
